A Note from Mrs. Hansen

Thank you for all your hard work last Saturday for our fabulous carnival. It was such a wonderful display of community and a real TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More) effort. Your donations, the incredible baskets, the new addition of the petting zoo, the food, the games and all the booths were spectacular! The hours our parents put in to plan, set up, run and clean up were numerous and very much appreciated.

Special thanks to our tireless chairs, Steve Barker, Dani O’Connell and Melissa Van Rosen. Their families were all involved too in making our day so special. I must also thank their mentor and strong supporter, Rachel Beach who was the chair for last year’s carnival. Her experience and knowledge were so beneficial to this year’s team.

Finally, thank you to all of you who brought your families to carnival. I had nine of my ten grandchildren here and they had a ball. They loved the carnival and our amazing Book Faire. Special thanks to our librarians for donating their time to put books in the hands of our students.

Our staff, students and PTA thank you for all that you do for Vista Grande.

On another note, thank you for all the cards and well wishes for my birthday. It was a big surprise when I saw everyone dressed in Giant’s gear or orange and black. It was an extra special birthday celebration.

Go Giants and have a great day!

Sincerely,

Pat Hansen

NOTHING GREAT IN THE WORLD HAS BEEN ACCOMPLISHED WITHOUT PASSION!

PRIDE stands for: Positive Attitude - Respect - Integrity - Discipline - Ethics

CLICK HERE to see our PRIDE Calendar of events for this school year. Thank you to Karen Huether for chairing this program and to our helpers, Candy Garvey, Sara Hepner and our Student Council.  This program is a community service program and gives our students the opportunity to spread a little kindness, support charitable fund raisers and appreciate what they have been given:  good health, a roof over their head, food on their table and a lot of love from friends and family.  In December, we will be sending home a tee shirt order for a PRIDE shirt. This tee shirt unites us as a caring community wanting to do good for others.  Thank you in advance for supporting our activities. We will send reminders home and students will talk about the events on VGTV.
